Frito-Lay just recalled thousands of bags of Doritos — here’s what we know

When we think of party chips, Doritos undoubtedly make the list. From the classic Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch to any next new Doritos flavor, a bag of Doritos is a must-have in any pantry. But consumers with wheat or soy allergies should be wary of the latest batch of Doritos nacho cheese.

Frito Lay Announce call From thousands of bags of Doritos due to allergy concerns due to cross contamination. This comes on the heels of another recall due to allergy concerns affecting classic Lays chips.

What caused Doritos Recall?

According to the ad, about 7,000 bags of nacho cheese-flavored Doritos chips contain undeclared ingredients of soy and wheat, thanks to cross-contamination from Doritos sweet chili tortilla chips. Nacho cheese chips may contain a handful of sweet chili ingredients. Hence, unauthorized allergens. If people who are allergic or sensitive to wheat or soy eat the chips, they may be at risk of getting sick.

These infected cysts were distributed in Pennsylvania to retail stores and in vending machines. Consumers could have purchased it as early as June 29, 2023.
